Supported Platforms / Operating Systems:
  Windows NT4.0
  Windows 2000
  Windows 2000 XP Professional

Files:
  altilog.exe   32 bit Windows NT4 Auto Logon
  altilog.txt   this file

Description:
  This program lets a user configure Windows NT4 Logon Information.

  Automatic User Logon ->

    checking this box will enable Windows NT4 to automatically log you
    on to the system. If you need to manually logon to the system,
    you must hold the SHIFT key down before the system tries to temporarly
    disable the autologon feature.

    This feature is great for running "Guest" level demos as well!

  Forget User Name ->

    Supposedly deletes your username from the autologon registry
    entry

  Automatic RAS Logon ->

    Automatically dials you in to your local connection upon startup

  Keep RAS Connection ->

    If you log on as a different user, it automatically keeps your
    active dialup connection.

  Shutdown Without Logon ->

    Does not show logon screen when shutting down via the task manager

  Powerdown Enable ->

    I'm still trying to figure this one out :) I think its a feature
    used for future powerdown systems such as the new Pentium II's.

  CDROM Autoplay ->

    Enables/Disables the CDROM Autoplay feature

Warning: YOUR AUTOLOGON PASSWORD REMAINS UNENCRYPTED IN THE REGISTRY
WHICH POSES A POTENTIAL SECURITY RISK. However you generally need
administrator privlidges to view it. This is designed for personal
single account workstations and not intended for protected server
or business applications. Altitech strongly advises against using
this program if you have even the slightest concern about security.

Entering a blank password after disabling autologon will ensure
normal windows security. There may be lingering undocumented
Windows "capture" or "history" effects inherant to the system that
Altitech is unaware of. (We sincerely hope not).
